Usage rights
Usage rights are usually the biggest lever on your price
Two creators can film the exact same video for the exact same brand and be paid wildly different amounts. The difference is rarely the shoot — it's what the brand is allowed to do with the content afterwards.
- Organic vs paid ads. Granting paid-ad rights is worth meaningfully more than a post the brand doesn't boost.
- Duration. A 30-day license costs less than 6 months, which costs less than perpetuity.
- Whitelisting / Spark Ads. Letting the brand run ads through your handle adds value (and adds a fee).
- Exclusivity. Keeping you away from competitors (or the whole category) has a real cost.
Get the rights wrong and you can leave hundreds of dollars on the table. Get them right and they become your strongest negotiation argument.
The same work, two different prices
Organic only · 30 days
$230–$320 (target $280)
+ Paid ads · 90 days
$320–$430 (target $370)
Usage rights is where the biggest jumps happen.

Frequently asked questions
Is this an official industry rate?+
No. CreatorQuote produces estimates based on common UGC pricing patterns — not an official or guaranteed industry rate. Real rates vary widely by niche, audience and platform, so treat every number as a negotiation starting point.
How accurate is the estimate?+
The estimate is transparent and reproducible: every factor has a published value you can inspect, and the range (low/target/high) reflects realistic swing. It's a strong benchmark for negotiation, but final pricing is always decided between you and the brand.
What are usage rights?+
Usage rights define how a brand can use your content — organic posts, paid ads, whitelisting (running ads through your handle), how long they can use it, and whether it's exclusive. They're often the single biggest lever on price.
Do you use AI to write my negotiation messages?+
No. Negotiation scripts are generated from clear, deterministic templates you can copy, personalize, and edit. Nothing is sent to an AI API and nothing about your deal leaves your browser.
Is my data saved anywhere?+
Your deals are saved to your own browser's local storage only. There is no backend, no database and no account — your data never leaves this device.
Can I use this for free?+
Yes. The calculator, deal score, offer analysis and negotiation generator are completely free. The optional Creator Deal Kit is a paid, one-time download of templates and resources — but the core tool costs nothing.
